News from the USA (December 2009) : Dave Metcalf (former HRURS Referee & Adviser in 1980s & Alton RFC player back in the mists of time) has been promoted to Chairman, National Evaluation Committee USA Rugby. Dave has been instrumental in guiding many of the now top USA Panel Referees by watching their performances, giving them very honest appraisals of their current ability, and guiding them on what it would take for them to achieve their goals. In addition Dave has given advice and counsel on the art of evaluating to a large number of aspiring Assessors throughout the whole of the USA. In his new position, Dave has set himself the immediate task of developing a program that will enhance the number of Assessors at all levels in the USA and ensuring that their standards are consistently uniform in nature. Good luck to you Dave.We salute your dedication to the game of Rugby in the Colonies. |
